Sariska National Park is in Rajasthan and it was once a hunting ground for the Maharajas of Alwar. This is a wild place that was declared a wildlife reserve in 1955 and then a wildlife sanctuary in 1958. In 1978, it was given the status of a tiger reserve through which it came under Project Tiger. Finally, in the year 1990, this reserve became a national park with a smaller area.
