Safari Gates of Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore National Park is divided into 10 zones, and each zone has its own entry gate. When you make a Ranthambore Safari booking then you are allotted a particular zone, and you must enter through the gate assigned to that zone only. So, it’s important to know which gate you have to reach so that you can enjoy a safari ride. Knowing about the gate is also important for hotel or resort booking because some gates are far from the hotel and resort area.


Ranthambore Gate / Sherpur Gate (Zones 1 to 5)

Kundal Gate (Zone 6 to 10)

    This is another gate of Ranthambore, which is located around 15 - 20 km away from the main gate of Ranthambore.

    This is the second main gate of the park and allows the tourists to go inside the other zones from 6 to 10.

    The Kundal gate is the main one. After entering it, you can go to the other gates of the park.

    Kundal Gate allows going to other gates, including Chidikho Gate (zone 7), Balas Gate ( zone 8), Kuwalji Gate (zone 9), and Aantri Gate ( zone 10).

    Always make a hotel or resort booking after knowing their distance from your safari gates of Ranthambore. If your safari is from Zone 6 to 10 and your hotel is near the main gate (Zone 1–5), you might have to travel extra (around 15–20 km) to reach the right entry point. So it’s better to stay near the gate of your allotted zone.
